Technical: We can use the E-commerce standard bot as an example.

  • Create the bot

  • Create a dialog: For example e-commerce Standard Bot: Buy an item, check order status, add item to order, cancel order.

    • First contact line

    • Add simple interactive elements like carousel, quick reply

    • Confirmation message

  • Web objects and data sources

    • use any FAQ or PDF, or data file, upload it to the bot and present options to the User. We can add between 5 to 10 questions.

Conversation Design:

  • Personality of my bot, who is he going to be?

    • Use character traits and tones

    • Define parameters and key elements for consistency

  • Interactions

    • Get information in a conversational flow and present it in an easy way

  • Bot personality shines even in error.

Technical:

  • Selection Statement and repetition/ recursion

    • Forms, filling up information to the system, response of score.

    • Updating existing information: Optional create a downloadable file for the user to keep.

    • Send confirmation message for updated information

    • Training with h-2 scenarios for intent recognition (efficiency).

Conversation Design:

  • Interact according to the information provided, and personalize the response.

  • Responses match the bot personality and user intent.

Technical:

  • Break the bot and fix the issue

  • Combine different sentiments and add a response (include links and memes)

  • Send out an email or text to the end user to inform them that the issue has been finalized (Using Twilio)

  • Improve the effectiveness of bot, training, synonyms, and statistic generations

  • Voice message goodbye (just play voice/media interaction)

  • Improve score on the matrix (Bot 95% all more)

Conversation Design:

  • Response to errors matching bot personality

  • Resource presentation user friendly with easy access to info

  • Facing challenge upsetness, etc (connected to sentiments)

Exercise 4 (Difficult ****): Project due date Dec 15, 2022

Technical:

  • Improve the effectiveness of bot, training, synonyms, and statistic generations.

  • Create a content variable and have a Voice message goodbye (just play voice/media interaction). Set different message for voice and all other channels.
  • Check the matrix and improve the score on the matrix for the bot by at least 95%.
  • Deploy in at least 2 channels.
  • Add the deployment in a WebSDK.
  • Create a Presentation documenting the Botathon experience, lessons learned and improvements to be made.

Conversation Design:

  • Make sure the bot with all the changes keeps its personality consistent when communicating with the user.
